Axiology

Thinking outside the box

The way we think

Axiology, the science of human values, enables us to identify the internal valuing systems that influence our perceptions, decisions and actions- to clearly understand “why” we do what we do!

Why use Axiology
In today’s fast-paced business world, CEO’s are trying to keep up with change and adapt to the marketplace. They are constantly searching for an edge over the competition. The most important thing they overlook is very close to home. It is the effective development of their employees. Ensuring that your next appointment is the correct one, or even more important, that you unlock the hidden potential of your employees is critical. This is the single most important thing that your competition cannot copy, because it is unique to your company Painless and easy, just do it.

How does it work?
A comprehensive profile similar to the Axiology profile normally requires extensive time with the applicant. Because of the complex mathematical equations as well as the advanced use of computer technology (science + technology) the applicant only needs to spent 30-40 minutes on his/her or any computer.

General
Profitability, productivity, innovation, deadlines and a hundred other business buzzwords are only effective when implemented and managed by real people, human beings. The employees of the company are the real capital. All that is required is to appoint applicants that suit the position best or develop and understand the current employees.   Only employees can make a business successful and profitable. But how do we know that before we employ them and once employed how do we know how to best utilise them. It will help if we know how they think.

It is also further important to note that a multitude of academic studies have shown that a high EQ is at least twice as important as a high IQ in achieving goals and desires.

What if we can do this with precision and science? Using mathematical equations that can tell us exactly how people think and make decisions. Does it sound like science fiction? In a way it is. Please read the following to uncover this “secret” that will change you and your business, for the better (read profit) forever.

All of the above and much more are possible through Axiology, a science that was developed over more than 50 years. By completing the Innermetrix ADVanced online profile, you will achieve the following.

What is Axiology (The longer version)
Axiology, the science of human values, enables us to identify the internal valuing systems that influence our perceptions, decisions and actions- to clearly understand “why” we do what we do!

Dr. Robert S. Hartman was nominated for the Nobel Prize for his contributions in value measurement using Axiology. Hartman’s value mathematics makes it possible to measure human values as accurately as a thermometer measures temperature.
Over 100 studies have been used to validate the Axiological model including an extensive study using a database of over 40,000 people from executives to entry level workers. With our scientific assessment tools based in Axiology we can accurately and easily assess an organisations talent, team effectiveness, culture and overall health.
The assessment objectively identifies how our minds analyze and interpret our experiences. It highlights how we are most likely to react in any given situation. Basically it examines “how we think”. It helps us to understand the patterns we use to make judgments about anything. These processes determine how and why we act as we do.
It is from this starting point that we design our programs to specifically address an individual, a team and an organisations transformation and growth. Candidates will receive a profile on 84 attributes i.e. Problem and situation analysis Personal drive Self confidence And 81 more

The following profiles are available

The Attributes and Dimensional Balance provides us with the Patterns Overview. Each of us can make decisions in three ways, but we tend to develop a preference for one more than the other. This preference becomes a subconscious force, affecting the decisions we make on a daily basis and shaping how we perceive the world around us and ourselves.

What is the Values Index
If you had a broken leg, how would you react if your doctor wanted to treat it without taking an X-ray? Now, what if you could have an equally accurate way to diagnose performance problems. Would you even consider hiring, coaching or training people before identifying the critical issues?
The Value Insights Profile (VIP) provides a simple and powerful way that shows you exactly why your people perform the way they do. The VIP is a scientifically proven, mathematically accurate assessment that objectively identifies how our mind analyzes and interprets our experiences. And it identifies how we are most likely to react in any given situation.
Understanding how people think is critical to knowing how they will perform. Research conducted by Innermetrix shows that the most successful people share the common trait of self-awareness. They recognize the situations that will make them successful, and this makes it easy for them to find ways of achieving objectives that resonate with their motivations. They also understand their limitations and where they are not effective and this helps them understand what does not inspire them or what will not motivate them to succeed. Those who understand their natural motivators better are far more likely to pursue the right opportunities, for the right reasons, and get the results they desire.

The values Index measures the seven dimensions of motivation. They are:

Aesthetic – a drive for balance, harmony and form.
Economic – a drive for economic or practical returns.
Individualistic – a drive to stand out as independent and unique.
Political – a drive to be in control or have influence.
Altruistic – a drive for humanitarian efforts or to help others altruistically.
Regulatory – a drive to establish order, routine and structure.
Theoretical – a drive for knowledge, learning and understanding.

The Values Index delivers to you a profile that truly helps you understand your own unique motivations and drivers.

What is the DISC Index

The DISC Index instrument is one of a family of instruments typically referred to or known as “personality tests.” This misnomer is rejected by Innermetrix and its principles due to the fact that the term “personality” is a very generalized and global term that refers to the entirety of an individual or a person as an embodiment of a collection of qualities.
The term was originally translated from the Latin pers!n”lit”s somewhere around 1400 AD, and has come to represent too wide a range of meanings – everything from a wide bandwidth of behavioural preference to psychological implications. Innermetrix chooses to classify the DISC Index as strictly a behavioural profile, as defined by Marston in his original DISC model.

The report measures four dimensions of your behavioural style. They are:

Decisive — your preference for problem solving and getting results
Interactive — your preference for interacting with others and showing emotion
Stability — your preference for pacing, persistence and steadiness
Cautious — your preference for procedures, standards and protocols
